Fluent Chat

This personal project explores the capabilities of Flutter for desktop software. The application features instant messaging and user authentication powered by Cloud Firestore to handle data synchronization. The visual development focused heavily on replicating Microsoft's design language, incorporating specific typography, layout grids, and visual cues to achieve a polished, native feel on the Windows platform.

Many cross-platform desktop applications fail to respect the host operating system's design conventions, leading to a disjointed user experience. I wanted to bridge this gap by creating a functional communication tool that operates efficiently on the desktop while maintaining high visual fidelity to the native environment.

I developed a Flutter-based Windows application backed by Firebase for real-time backend services. The interface was meticulously styled to adhere to Fluent guidelines, ensuring the app looks and behaves like a native system component rather than a generic web wrapper.
